Description

Did you know that many of the elven characters who appear in this gallery are related by blood? It’s true! Most of them belong to one of five major families.

The lowest-ranking family is Aelorothi. They have fair skin and often have muscular frames. Their hair is always silvery-white, and their eyes are usually silver or purple. Most Aelorothi are warriors. Recently bizarre magical abilities have been awakening in members of their family, which has proven a bit chaotic.

(from left to right)

Lilith: Lilith is a very private young woman who is considered strange by her family members. She keeps mostly to herself, as she finds others to be unreliable. Her closest companion is her eidolon, a fantastic magical creature that she summons from another world.

Lianthorne: Lianthorne is a solitary warrior who was long considered to be "unlucky" by his fellow elves. There was a time when Lianthorne was expelled from his family home and send away until he could better control his chaotic magic. Lianthorne is magically bonded to his longsword, and also has the ability to cast curses upon his enemies. His closest companions are his younger sister Phebe and his wife Viconia .

Phebe: Phebe is a quiet girl who is shy almost to a fault. She spent most of her childhood fearful of most members of her family aside from her beloved elder brother Lianthorne, and her favorite cousin, Xanthus. Phebe loves books and personally takes care of the elves’ magical library. She is a witch, bonded to her familiar, a tressym by the name of Arii. Phebe is married to Ruith, kind-hearted elven werefox.

Daevin: Daevin is a powerful young man with a quick temper and a gruff personality. His father was extremely cruel, resulting in Daevin finding it difficult to trust others. He was once engaged to be married to Persephone, but their arranged marriage was called off. Rhowynn considers Daevin to be her adopted son, and has taught him a unique method of combining unarmed combat with sorcerous magic. Daevin is the personal bodyguard of Rhowynn’s young daughter Shaiel, whom he loves dearly.

Kumiko: Kumiko is highly disciplined warrior who spent most of her life as a bodyguard for Mormu’s younger students. She has recently discovered that she has a unique and fascinating ability known as weave-burning, which allows her to negate arcane magic. Although many members of Kumiko’s family consider her to be unfriendly, she is actually a very sensitive and loving person.

Xanthus: Long considered the black sheep of his family, Xanthus was bullied and ignored throughout most of his life due to his physical weakness and lack of magical ability. His illicit romantic relationship with Lorelei caused him to be murdered by a jealous rival. After his soul spend seven years trapped in the abyss, Xanthus was unwillingly infused with eldritch magic which transformed him into a warlock. He was eventually resurrected by Rhowynn, and reunited with his beloved Lorelei and their young daughter Naia.

Although these six characters are the most prominent, other members of the Aelorothi family exist, such as the infants, Sirius, Rubeus, Cassiel and Cedrik, Lorelei and Xanthus' seven-year-old daughter Naia, and several others who have not yet been named within our stories.

The name Aelorothi and the fey’ri story seed are originally from Dungeons & Dragons: Forgotten Realms game setting, though my DM skullard has taken the plot in a very different direction.
