It would be a great picture without the photoshop stream in the middle.

If you increase the exposure time you get this effect. You can't photoshop that in a right way.

I'm curious, what body/lens did you use for this shot. And did you use any filters?
I really like that the light coming from over the peaks isn't overwhelming. It's pleasant to the eye and not too bright. It makes me wonder how bright it was in real life, seeing as this was a somewhat long exposure it seems.

This was shot with a canon 5d mkII and the canon 16-35mm 2.8 lens.
I don't think I used any filters. I was able to get a long enough exposure to blur the water without the use of filters.
As far as how bright the sky was to the naked eye at the time I would say a touch darker and the reds/pinks were actually more intense.

Ahh I see. That 16-35 2.8 lens is something I really want in the future. I'm going to settle with a 10-20 Sigma lens soon though since I don't think the 16-35 would be ideal for me on a 1.6 crop body.
I really like this shot though, it's pertains very well to my photographic interests.
