Description Day 18.

"On my trip back from the starship I managed to spot something interesting on our world's surface, nestled in the mountains and normally hidden from sight. At once I prepared an expedition to go investigate as no one seemed to have knowledge of that location existing. Once we reached the location we discovered an abandoned high-technology facility. I knew this had once been an offworlder base as such construction styles or technology were too unusual for our world.

Parts of the base were partially or completely destroyed and I concluded that whoever had been using this base had been discovered and driven away. Still, my companions and I were looking to unveil more of what had been going on. In one particular corridor I thought I had been done for after the floor gave up on me! I survived with only a few bruises to my person and dignity before my companions lowered a rope for me, although at that time I was completely preoccupied by the hidden room I had fallen into. It was an entirely undamaged section of the facility that still seemed to hold life to some degree.

One particular room held a single containment tank with a humanoid creature held inside. It looked like a person but I was unable to determine the subspecies with her eyes open yet seemingly unconscious. The monitors nearby revealed that the section was running on backup power and the specimen was held in stasis until released. Papers were scattered in a desk nearby, revealing more of the nature of the person in suspended animation. I had thought it was merely the dim lighting but the creature itself was covered in a dark substance secreted by her own skin, reflecting what little light we had. She had at some point been a human who had been used to experiment with genetics of several species from beyond the stars - a hybrid. I was shocked, for I had thought only magic capable of producing such results.

All signs pointed to her being stable but I dared not release her. I didn't think we were ready to release and tend to her, much less defend ourselves against a potentially hostile individual with an unknown array of powers. We left her as is, planning to contact people more experienced with dealing the situation."

Being experimented on so much makes it difficult to tell just how she'll react to anything. Maybe she'll run amok because of panic... or she might be unusually calm.

Well done (though that hair fist(?) does seem a bit weird).

I wanted her to have a third hand coming from the back of her head. I think maybe I made it too long though!

I really don't understand these criticisms. You keep saying "Well done, though _________" as though whatever you're pointing out is a detriment.
That's what "though" means in that context.

Hair-ppendage is strange. ALIEN even? Like the topic of the image? And that definitely is worth a mention if it caught your eye, but it doesn't make the picture any less good, so it's not "though that hair fist(?) does seem a bit weird", it's "Well done" and then, as a separate sentence, "That hair fist(?) seems a bit weird."
You keep doing this and it keeps giving off a tone that I'm not sure is your intention. Consider this a PSA.

Hair-ppendage confirmed for canon terminology.

I find this one super cool for some reason. I'm not sure if I'm attracted to or scared of that hair-ppendage.

Might be a side-effect of doing inverse colours, kinda. I figured the hair limb would be an interesting thing to have!
