"Dragons are a rare sight, so much that in many places they are considered mere tales. Dragonfolk are in a similar position, rarely seen due to leading rather solitary lives. This is in part due to their history of being used as powerful weapons by the kingdoms in old times. This is true to all the different varieties of dragonfolk, yet each of them have their own rich history, sometimes even dating back to completely different eras.

Cryodragon - or ice dragon - people for example reportedly have their origins in an area that was used to be ruled by a powerful lord who sought to increase his power and thus had a strong ice sorceress captured and turned into a loyal ice dragon to lead his forces. The thought of a ruler that powerful is enough to send chills down my spine - or perhaps I have spent too much time in the breezy Loftcliff library.
