Day 9.

"Demons were one of the more difficult races for me to find information about due to their scarcity. I can only guess what the reasons for this could be, although one tale I discovered suggested they normally resided in a lower plane of reality to ours, only entering our world when portals are opened for them. This ties in with the fact that many wizards have summoned demons in the ages past to bind them to their servitude. Truly such wizards must have been fearless!

Demons come in many varieties, enough to keep a professional researcher such as myself busy for many years to come! Alas, I've dedicated my heart to subspecies in general and must leave that dream for someone else. The demon I will be focusing on is the one I found the most information about. They stand taller than any normal person with the strength to match. They wield crude weapons of wood and stone - haphazardly patched with plates of metal as they break in the many fight they get to. Indeed, demons are highly aggressive and seem to find conflict as their main driving force. One old journal I discovered in the dusty attic of a notable wizard family even suggests that these demons have a kind of sense of honor, preferring fair fights if possible. The writer of the journal had even reportedly helped a demon in need and had received its willing servitude in gratitude! Personally, I call poppycock!"
