An incomprehensibly teeny Newspaper margin sketch
Those were meant to be vultures.. but eagles happened

the heavy fabric
of the cloak she wore
wrapped around her diminutive figure
her faithful companion upon her shoulder
and the shifting sand beneath her feet
she wiggled her toes
to feel the grains run through
and the ebbing warmth
from the dipping sun
her resolve to not yet slumber
to stay awake
slowly undermined
by the encompassing warmth
of which she found herself
but as the calls
from other beasts and fowl
filled the evening and cooling air
she cupped her hands
and into them spoke
the words of power
that she knew
a small flame kindled
in her small calm grasp
and its dancing flame
brought a smile to her face
her strength renewed in the evening air
and the flame grew larger still
till she gave it to a bundle of tinder
upon which it began to sustain itself
and as the evening drew on the flame grew lower
until as ash
it went asunder
and in the dying light
she found her rest
curled in that cloak so warm
to dream of tomorrow
and the days ahead
and with that she closed her eyes

Cubism is beginning to sneak in though
I hope it doesn't have a negative impact on my work or veer me off my path too much
then again I could end up with something really weird but interesting, I guess we'll see soon enough
