On 16th October, exactly four months after Nikki left us, you went over the rainbow bridge. My beloved Kathi, I will never forget you. You and Nikki stay in my heart forever.You are now far away from every pain. Rest in Peace.

yeah it was so sad. She had a tumor on her stomach and several other health problems so I decided to have her put down to remove her pain

You did the right thing. Although it is always hard to let a bird go, sometimes you have to so you can relieve the pain they are in.
I had a bird named Talola (have never forgot her) that died a couple of years ago. She died of a respiratory infection sadly. I didn't have her put down but I just wanted to share my little fluff ball with you. I brought a charm of her from a shop on here, it should be arriving soon so I shall post a picture of it when it does

I know how you feel right now. Like literally right now. My bird just passed away today. She had health problems, but fought for 7/8 years.
I can see that she was very playful from the way she acts in this picture.

Thank you very much. It is good to know others love their pets as much as I love mine. Kathi died in 2009 so the time healed most of the wounds but it still saddens me that she is no longer around.

Mostly because she left my male, genderless bird, and me.
There isn't a female to control them or me. She was the oldest and tamed.

aw thats always a pity. Maybe you can buy another female. If you want an older one again, I recommend looking in shelters or second hand birds... I find it better than buying birds at pet shops or breeders, because of the overbreeding. A shelter should definitely be the better option.

I would have liked to get another female, but I rather
just stay with the two that I have now because they are only a few months apart
from the oldest.

In March I lost my Ollie to cancer. Then just last month, I put down my Baxter because of his severe allergies. He's on my current journal. So, yes, I've lost two of my family this year. I know and understand the pain and loss of losing our family members...wings or paws...
