This was done as a Christmas present for my best buds. It's a portrait of our pirate altar-egos and our beloved ship.This lineart had been sitting in my sketchbook for quite some time (about a year or so) and I'm glad to have it finally colored. I tried a different style here, trading the black ink lines for colored lines...I'm still not sure if I like it or not, edges and shapes seem to get lost in some places.
Ew, and don't mind the reds, for some reason my scanner makes red tones very saturated and I don't know how to fix it.
Done with Prismacolor colored pencils and Crayola markers (I left my good markers at school...had to work with what I had). The texture and "glow" around the border was added later in photoshop.

then my next tip: scan everything and print copies to practice on. So if you mess up you haven't lost the line art.
