Description
Inspired by the time of caravans and free spirits, of gypsies and bohemians, of freedom and romance, this mixed media neck piece is mainly made out of tattered fabrics, freely woven together with no fix design … only having the freedom of the creative process in mind. This neck piece comes in 2 pieces. The pendant-necklace and the neck-sash can be taken apart, where the pendant-necklace can be worn on its own.

The Pendant-necklace is made up of a piece of old faded jeans, old crocheted tablecloth, stained linen, dyed silk/rayon, rustic Howlite, Flower Agate, rawhide, brass wires and a time capsule in the form of a tiny heart within an old bezel nested in an excerpt of a 1898 reprinted letter, stained gauze and rusted wire mesh.

The Neck-sash is a cutoff from an old crocheted tablecloth (stained in coffee) and is therefore imperfect and tattered. With the crocheted tablecloth is a piece of dyed silk/rayon.

*the necklace is 16 inches in circumference, plus a 2 inch chain extension

*the pendant is 3 inches in length

*the neck sash is 52 inches in length
