Well, today marks the last day of #Funguary ! The month has certainly flown by - and so to close off the week of pretty fungi, we have the Veiled Lady Mushroom! These unique little fungi grow their own meshy netting; wild, huh? And yet, despite looking so pretty, they apparently smell really bad - also earning them the name of “stinkhorn”! Yikes!

A lot of the Funguary artworks of this mushroom from last year depicted girls wearing veils (surprise, surprise), but me being me, I decided to be different and thought, “What if I made the netting into a hoopskirt?” I guess that means I’ve both begun and finished the month of Funguary with Victorian-themed girls - haha! In hindsight, I think I should’ve made this girl’s mushroom cap more pointed than round, but oh, well. I used the same drawing technique for the cap of this shroom that I used for the Wrinkled Peach mushroom, and I’m overall SO happy with how they both turned out!

And with that, Funguary is now officially over! Thank you guys so much for following along with my fungirls (creds to Feefal for that pun, lol) - and be sure to stick around for more Funguary content next year!
