Crazy to think that this is the second-last day of #Funguary ; anyway, for today, we have another edible fungus: the Oyster Mushroom!

These pretty little mushrooms are extremely versatile when it comes to cooking them, and can be prepared in any number of ways. They’re also good antioxidants and may even be able to protect against cellular damage - but scientists still need to do more research to confirm if this is true or not. Aside from being healthy and a good food source, oyster mushrooms can be quite colourful, too: they’re often white or beige, but can also come in colours like yellow, pink, and even blue!

It’s funny how with some of my mushroom girls, I’ve just made the mushrooms grow out of their heads (which sounds rly weird out of context, I know) - but with others, like this one, I’ve made the fungus part of their outfit, too! When I first saw pictures of all the different colours oyster mushrooms came in, I knew I was going to have to do an ombré look - and the most effective way to do this was to make my girl’s dress out of oyster mushrooms! (That also meant I technically ended up drawing some of them upside-down, but whatever; just roll with it.)
