I asked people what was the most hardest monster in "monster hunter" you ever encountered and most people responded that the 1st Yian Kut-Ku you fight in the first MH. ....seriously?
The second was the first Deviljho from MHTri that is summoned by Qurupeco in early HR quests.
The third was the 1st Alatreon from MHTri you battle againist...
i thought one of the Fatalis' was going to be in the top three....i was wrong

Never fought Yian Kut-Ku, but I'd agree with the other two. First time I encountered Jho, it was my second high rank mission. We were hunting a Rathian. Two of us went on ahead while the other guy and I were sharpening our weapons and cooking some meat. We then get a message that just says "RUNRUNRUNRUN".Β Needless to say, it was one of the most intense hunts I've ever had.
Alatreon was always fairly tough. Most of his attacks were not telegraphed much, and the ones that were were often hard to dodge. Couple that with the fact that he had plenty of health and hit extremely hard, and it's no wonder he's included as one of the hardest.

Now i disagree in mh4u savage deviljho on G rank is now a complete and utter douce waffle i should know first G rank expedition and two of these bastards appeared TWO and i still had high rank armor.

lol. For me it was the first White Fatalis I fought. Everything else I managed to kill solo eventually. That Fatalis? nope. Only ever beaten it with friends. Fate simply was not on my side when fighting him. It would always either be death or time over that failed the quest for me.

i never played the first monster hunter so i don't know anything about that pink chicken that may be the cousin of peco. but i have encountered jho and alatreon. alatreon i understand why ppl think hes the most hardest monster cuz he cheats. and jho.....jho's just mean.
i do fight him when peco summons him, but when im in the wrong armor and have the wrong weapon i just take off running.

Agreed whit the the top tree! first time against yan-kut ku is hard cause ur not realy suited for Wyvern fights plus the kut-ku as realy high hp for what weapons u have...to top it, its ur very first boss fight too.
Deviljho is an asshole(sorry) but he's not that hard when you're use to his attack patern...he just have ridiculously high hp and attk power AND speed...plus its kinda hard to fight large wyverns too..(ps: capcom didn't gave him the BruteWyvern's title for nothing...)
Alatreaon...now that's what him talking about....with very high ranked hunters who are good whit ala...the fight will last about 25 to 30 minuts BUT when your an all hr50 team against him...if you know your shit its gonna take you 30 to 50 minuts... almost limit! he do shit load of damage PLUS he have The highest wyvern's hp of all "on the field boss"
ala have 10 000hp (you fight him on land) <== On the field
Jhen mohran have 27 000hp (but you fight him on a boat whit canons and ballistas) <==OUT of field

Yeah Kut ku was an asshole when I first fought him. But than he got way too easy and could kill him within 2 min. My first encouter with the jho was actually fun and I tought I was gonna die but my team mates died instead LOL. My first Alatreon mission was brutal but fun and I always request for Alatreon mission but everyone hates him so no one joins.
I'm a LS/SNS/SA user and with my barioth armor I'm a beast.

yian kut-ku? i haven't MHF but i think that it isn't very hard... oh well it is such as the first battle with a big monster... my first stupid great jaggi killed me once in the mission... i hate them

God i hated jho.. everytime i tried to cap peco and jho waz in the same area hed always get into the trap and peco just ran away..... Peco dodged 3 traps......

Yian Kut-Ku was fucking terrifying I REALLY did not want to fight it lol then when I defeated it I grew monster balls and was never scared again... apart from Lao Shan, Fatalis, Jehn Mohran anything really big and vicious XD

i bought myself a psp and the first 2 mhΒ΄s jzst a few days ago.
i killed kut-ku in the first try!
he is not hard. justr take a GS, and within 15 minutes heΒ΄s down.
i mean i have some skills from mh3, but its still the new control with the psp....

the only reason the yian kut ku was hard the first time was because of inexperience. I agree with you lynx, I figured at least one of the fatalis would be in there, especially in something like freedom unite, the white fatalis G ranked quest.

I love this one! The poses and details are sweet! It must be true, no monster is the hardest but the first Yian Kut Ku you fight. Guh, took me forever to kill my first. I still say White Fata is the hardest monster I have fought, with his one hitters (only monster I really need Guts for).

KUT-KU?! Really? I beat the carp out of him my first time, jho was easy to avoid ( sorry, but his belly makes the best escape point), and ALA?..... Ok maybe he deduced to be there... XD
