Thank you, but it really was apparently pure accident. I've tried to come back to it twice to apply some of the lessons I've learned since, and the results were horrifying.
Thanks again!

Thank you for noticing that. I think that may have been the most deliberate part of the image. LOL

I haven't used Vue, but it is capable of rendering some amazing environments. I haven't got into that so much, but I'll certainly be considering it if and when I do. I guess Bryce is capable of some fantastic stuff, but it seems you need to be an absolute elite Bryce ninja to get there - otherwise you end up with meh all over the place. You certainly aren't on your own when it comes to AS. You can hardly open a 3D watch stack without seeing their stuff in about 1 in 20 images (1 in 3 if there was a release yesterday XD).

Very very nice - the composition is excellent. Who's the face morph?

Thank you very much! It literally was a happy accident; I spent more time adjusting the lighting in Reality than anything else. The face morph is MRL Abbi from Rendo. Thanks again for the nice comment!

Thank you! Between the day job and the toddler in the house, "happy accidents" are really all I have time for.
This outfit (Xenon ) is still available at the DAZ store; I think there are 4-5 others over there as well. I'm lucky in that I got a lot of these a while back when I was still using DAZ Studio to import figures into Bryce. Glad I did.
Thanks again!

Hah, tell me about it. I've got a two year old (well almost 2). I do remember DAZ carried some of the old AS products, didn't recognise this one without the "wings", and thought it was a different one. At $31 I think I'll wait for the less than rare AS sale.
So, I'm guessing you prefer the render engine in Bryce to 3delight? I haven't used it, but I would have thought 3delight would have been the superior engine.

Mmm...I can't really say on 3delight over Bryce; I use 3delight for "proofing" before doing the Reality->Lux transfer.
I'm primarily a print/web designer, so I've been a Mac guy since dirt. I'd been using Bryce since the first iteration, so that was primarily what I stuck with...right up until the Lion/Bryce 7 kerfuffle and it simply didn't work anymore. I fiddled with Vue a bit after that (its engine is vastly superior to bryce's), but when DAZ started giving Studio Pro for free, I figured I'd take a whack at that. Didn't take me long to stumble across some Reality/Lux renders, and I've never looked back. Now I just have to unlearn all of the unfortunate habits I picked up in 10 years of Brycing.
I'm a complete Aery Soul / AlfaSeed whore. I bought a lot of the older stuff when I was trying (emphasis on trying to integrate Poser content into Bryce, and I've picked up a lot since having gotten into D|S. I could easily become the deviantart version of an AlfaSeed cover band. LOL

I got some decent stuff out of Bryce, but it was a while back...so due to that and the render times that make LuxRender seem blindingly fast by comparison, the images are all quite small in comparison. They're okay, but not on this level of render quality. I may post a small folder of the better ones.
I'm literally forcing myself away from the AS stuff for at least another 1-2 images. I could render that stuff every day and be tickled pink, but actually posting all of that would seem a bit more fanboyish than I'm comfortable with at my age. LOL

Yeah, I hear Bryce renders are glacial. I'd like to see some. I'll keep my eyes open.
