Description My man Roald, chilling with the resident cat in a coffeeshop in Amsterdam. I thought this would be a welcome change from all the chainmail that usually features in my drawings, but damn, that shirt turned out to be just as much of a nightmare. Drawn partly from life and partly from memory.

But that shirt looks really damn brilliant too. Great, great work.

Thanks, man. My painstaking attention to detail is probably my number one strength when it comes to drawing (in all modesty, of course), so I guess if the shirt had been plain the drawing would have suffered from it.

Aye, you're probably right. Just out of curiousity, approximately how much time do you spend on a picture like this one?

Hm, let's see, I started work on this maybe 1 o'clock in the afternoon, and finished it late in the evening the following day. I didn't work on it non-stop, though, so let's say... 6-8 hours, maybe. I really don't know for sure, though, time always flies when I'm drawing.

Aye, time always flies when I'm writing too. Never when I'm drawing, I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to stay patient for 6-8 hours. Need more practice.
