Description These guys were drawn, probably early 2004? Maybe? (No later, I'm sure. Part of me wants to say winter 2003.) I was reminiscing earlier today, and came across a few of them. And I really thought I did a decent job on them. (Seriously, some of the lineart and detail I used to put into artwork... Yeah, that's something I really need to get back to doing.) So I grabbed these three and tried out some coloring ideas I've been wanting to try for quiet some time.

So I hope you like it.

Love the look of these! Was this a real series, or just something you came up with?

During the mid 1990s, there was a short lived series called Machine Wars. (This was during Beast Wars.) It was so short lived and small of a line that it was pretty much a Kay-Bee toy store exclusive, and it consisted of just releases of late G1 European toys, and some unreleased G2 guys. Until this upcoming Botcon, there has been no established fiction with anything about it. It had always remained this enigma of the franchise, and not to mention, until the Classics line in 2006, for ten years, the Machine Wars served as the last unknown period of time that we ever saw many of the Generation One guys. Which for being such an important moment, the fact it had never been developed more in fiction was just odd.

These were drawn sometime in 2003 or 2004, in an attempt to pitch a Machine Wars comic to Dreamwave who had the license at the time. (They weren't interested.)

Badass. I love how you made Prime and Prowl's heads more traditional.

At that time, Cybertron was still in the early rumor stages of Galaxy Force, and the notion of Prime without a mask on just seemed alien to me.
