Description (Kara's new look for Girl of Steel)

Kara's uniform was crafted from the space suit she wore on her journey from Krypton to Earth. The main leotard comes directly from the ship-suit she wore, bearing her family's crest (the pentagon S shield). The fabric is synthetic Kryptonian threads, stronger and more durable than anything found on Earth. Kara retained the blues and reds of the House of El and of course to match her cousin Superman.

The has gold on her cape and skirt is in honor of her mother, Allura, whose formal robes as a member of the Argo City Council would have been graced with gold.  The gold on the end of her sleeves is in honor of the Amazons of Themsyrica. Wonder Woman and her sister helped trained Kara and made her an honorary Amazon.

I wanted to combine the new TV costume with my classic idea for Supergirl's suit. So added in the details I liked, like the new S-Shield, the red highlights to her suit. I kept though her old boots and the various gold I added to the cape, skirt, and suit.

The Hot Pants look was a popular one. Its not my fav but I can appreciate how it shows off Kara’s legs. Her slippers were cute.

I always like the high heels and criss cross straps Wonder Woman wore in the 60s.

I'm varied in what I like for footwear for superheroines. About the only universal thing I agree is, if they have the option to wear pantyhose or tights they should

Totally I love this pic I added a little bit from the CBS costume but kept a few other touches. I like the idea Kara would have more gold in her costume than say Superman. It was something they did with her Pre-Nu52 look and I wanted to carry it over. In universe Kara has it on her cape and skirt as a nod to her mother. The gold on her sleeves is a reference to her Amazon training, something I am borrowing from the Pre-Nu52 verse (Though she wasn't kidnapped by Darksied).

I haven't quite touched on it in the series. Basically its up to the user to decide, so in my case she would be wearing fleshtone tights as I love that look on the SG cosplayers I've seen do it. 

Glad you like the little bit of red there. That along with the emblem is what I really wanted to add. Gives Kara's suit a bit of a different feel.
