Maybe when you finish all your commissions, perhaps you could show your process for making those eyes? I'm genuinely curious.
Does sculpting them save time, in your opinion?

Well, in my case, these eyes took as long or longer to do than if i painted them because this was the first time I have sculpted the eyes. If you want to know how to do it right and the amount of time it would take once you are used to it you should talk to because he has been doing it a long time and his are definitely better than mine at this point. As for me, I just use my fingers to press in an eye socket and put white clay in it and spread it to the edge, then the next color and push the edge of the clay until it is the right shape and then the black and repeat the process. I don't know how he does it but his are great.

Yeah, I talked to Dusty about sculpting eyes a long time ago but just didn't do it because he was the only one doing it. He said it wouldn't bother him but I didn't feel right, but now I have seen a few other pony sculptors do it so I figured it was time.
I have no real talent to give...just a lot of time and patience!

Thanks. Yeah, I finally decided to give the eye sculpting a try. I held off for a long time out of respect for Dusty but now I have seen a few other sculptors do it si I figured I would see how it goes. This was my first try at it!
