Suspicious hoof placement. Does she hide any secrets?

Thanks! From all the Vinyls I have made everyone has always wanted the red eye version and this person likes them as well.

I think it is because most of the fandom gave her red eyes before they saw what Hasbro gave her but both are cool.

It actually surprises me that most people are going with the red instead of show accurate.

maybe their head canon over weights their show canon? or maybe they just prefer red to magenta

I think they just want her to be the way they originally imagined her.

That is one cute Vinyl Scratch. Everyone makes the head a bit differently, so I say it is open for interpretation. Nice job.

Thanks. I think we have to because they are drwan differently most of the time as well.

It's definitely a lot easier when you don't have to worry about eyes most of the time lol

Hi Vinyl!
That's a pretty good sculpt right here. The only problematic part is the frontal view of the face; the space between the eyes is a bit too wide for a G4 pony. However, the sculpting of the body in general and the hair (and plot ) in particular is pretty good indeed. The colouring feels pleasant without outlines and such, and that smile is just lovely. Well done!

Thanks a bunch. They are drawn differently throughout the fandom and the cartoon but if you actually go by a hasbro G4 toy they are actually probably closer together on my Vinyl here than the actual toys...here is a G4 Hasbro Applejack [link] and here eyes are quite far apart.

Well, in these terms the mold Hasbro uses is not all that different from G3 (at least in my opinion) and... yeah, you know those. I'm mostly going by the show and the sculpts going for maximal show accuracy: against all biological norm, the eyes on the show ponies are closer together than either of them is wide.

I think part of why you don't like them is because they are not shaped like the typical oval but rather slanted and it make them look further apart especially at the top part but if you take the bottom edge and draw a slight curve inward that would normally be there on an oval eye it would bring them closer together and the gap between the eyes is narrower than the eyes. It does the same thing on Luna and if I bring the closer together it looks weird on a slanted eye...to me at least. The truth is, I rarely go for show accurate. I prefer to make them a style that is recognized as mine but I appreciate the critique.

Hey, I'm not saying it's bad. It's just different. Yes, the slanted eye shape works differently and wouldn't be affected too much by bringing them closer together. I ain't demanding that it has to be done, just pondering the difference. Neither do I demand that you have to follow the show style, and I never got the people who only liked show-style pony works. It's no less pony if it's in a different style, after all.

I actually judge each pony as I am making it by the facial expression so mine will be different at lot of the time.

Makes sense. And it's all fair game, after all, as long as you end up producing a work you are satisfied with.
