(Nidra is approx. 8-10 years old in this scene and she is traveling with her mother, Luna, to a "special place" in the mountains in the middle of the night)

Nidra: Mommy, why couldn't Daddy come with us tonight?

Luna: Because he and the other captains had an important meeting tonight at the castle *mumbles to herself * As I’ve told you about ten times already.

Nidra: Oh. Mommy?

Luna *sighing impatiently*: Yeeess?

Nidra: Where are we going? We've been flying for a long time and my wings are getting tired.

Luna *smiling at Nidra*: We're almost there, sweetheart. Can you fly a little longer?

Nidra *nodding*: Mmhm.

Luna *landing on a cloud*: Here we are, Nidra.

Nidra: Huh? Here where? I don't see anything special.

Luna *looking up*: Take a look up into the sky.

Nidra looks up and her jaw drops. Scattered across the night sky were countless stars, more than she had seen back home at the castle. Though the moon was full, its brilliant light didn't dim the glow of the multitude of glittering stars.

Nidra: WOW!! It's so pretty!!!

Luna: it is, isn't it?

Nidra: Why is it that we can see more stars up here than back home?

Luna: The air is much clearer up here than at the castle, that's why you can see more stars from here.

Nidra: Ooooh

Luna notices that Nidra is shivering.

Luna: Honey, are you cold?

Nidra *nodding and teeth chattering slightly* Y-yeah. A l-little.

Luna lies down on the cloud and extends one of her wings. Nidra lays down next to her and snuggles close to her mother's warm body.

Luna *wrapping her wing around Nidra*: Better?

Nidra: Mmhm *pauses thoughtfully* Mommy?

Luna: Yes, Nidra?

Nidra: Do you remember that song you used to sing to me as a baby?

Luna: Yes, why do you ask.

Nidra *snuggles closer*: Do you think you can sing it again for me? Right now?

Luna *smiling gently*: Of course, sweetie.

Luna quietly sings the lullaby Nidra loved to hear when she was little. Her gentle voice seemed to ride on the breeze as the soothing melody drove away the night's chill, making Nidra sleepy. The lids of the filly's golden eyes drooped lower and lower, until they finally closed. Luna finished the song and looked down at her daughter to find her sleeping peacefully. She smiled lovingly at Nidra and drew her closer just as a beautiful comet streaked across the star-filled sky.
