I always like to use up fabric to the last scrap where possible so I made this little embroidery to use one of the smaller scraps I have lying around the place. The beer ghost of SATW is just too cute not to embroider and him drinking beer was just the right size to fit the scrap I had.Embroidery is 3 3/4 x 2 7/8 inch or around 9,5 x 4,75 cm made on 18 count Aida and took me a day to make.

Artwork from this comic by all I did was convert it to an embroidery pattern and make that.

It probably would look just as good - the size could be changed just by using a smaller count Aida for example (though you'd probably need 3 threads of DMC instead of 2) for example if you used 12 squares per inch Aida and had 2 inches extra at the top and bottom as a border you'd be able to make a 11 inch pillow. The pattern is 34 x 73 stitches and I used this calculator: [link]
Alternatively you could count each square in my pattern as 2 stitches high and 2 wide to double the size. It really depends on how large you'd want the pillow to be and how detailed you'd want it.
And last of all: I don't mind seeing what I can create in a larger size but I'd need to know what size pillow you'd want and what size border, I wouldn't test the pattern beforehand so I would not be able to guarantee it's perfect.

its great to find a person who also cross stitches it was so awkward in school to be doing cross stitching in class and such

Trying a 10 x 10 or 20 x 20 stitch bit to see what it looks like would probably be enough
