I know what you;re talking about, I have hand reared baby black bird because no one would take them.
And I have a soft spot for pretty much all animals.

Aww, poor baby... Yeah, I could see why though. Everyone I've ever talked to about birds and bird feeding have hated black birds. D: I feel so very sorry for them...
And yeah, me too pretty much. XD Minus opossums. They're just a little too creepy for me.

The main reason why no one would take the is because they are not native to Australia(were I live.
I know what you mean, every time I have see an Opossum on TV I have been like "That is one of the creepiest animals I have ever seen", but I would still help one if I ever found an injured or orphaned one.

Oh Wow! I've always wanted to go to Australia.
I didn't know there werent blackbirds there. They're everywhere here and close to no one likes them.
You have no idea how creepy they can be, they're mean and the smell horrible. Close to that of a skunk. They hiss and come out of nowhere in the dark. Only animal on the planet I do not like. D:
I've heard that the children are very ill tempered too actually... >>;;

You should go to Melbourne if you ever get the chance to go to Australia. I live in Olinda, itβs a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria. Itβs weather and landscape is the opposite to what most people think of when they think about Australia, and itβs a very beautiful place.
Just a question are we talking about the same birds if so (Common Blackbird also called Eurasian Blackbird) I know that many people do not like them because they are so common and are classified as a pest, but I love all bird (Apart from Indian Mynas because theyβre extremely aggressive to other birds).
Now Iβm really glad they do not live in Australia, but we just have many other animals that would scare you in the night like owls that sound like a woman screaming or dogs barking, possums that growl and screech that can be aggressive if they think youβre a threat.

I will definitely keep that in mind! Thanks!
I believe so.. though there are so very many different species of blackbirds here..
They're all believed to be nuisances though. Our most aggressive bird around is a blue jay (well... except for the predator birds of course) but they're so pretty, I can't not like them.
D: I would be absolutely terrified to hear those.. Is it true that there are dogs that make sounds like babies crying?

Black bird and other small birds like Indian Mynas pest in farmlands because they destroy crops buy Indian Mynas also raid other birds nest for food and space especially around their nesting season (that's what I mean by aggressive) I wish blue jays lived in Australia because their one of my favorite birds, but at least there are many beautiful parrots hear.
The good thing is you get use to the different animalβs sounds at night and most animals if you ever came across them at night can be easily scared off. I have never heard of a dog like that sounds like that before, maybe there is one but I donβt know.
