First I have to say that you have a really unique art style ! and I love it
the line work is clean but yet sketchy enough that it fits the style to perfection and it's pretty simple but really nice too
I'm loving the way you handled the simplistic approach to texture
what a cute character, I like the pose it's really well executed
I like that cozy and chill vibe going on there
and you put shadows exactly where it's supposed to be excepted that you should have put a little bit of shadow under her arm
I really like the fact that you did not use a lot of color on this one !
but actually used the white canvas to make her skin and socks !
that's pretty clever !!
Also one thing, personally, I would have put a background.
I feel like the them of this picture would come off a lot more if there was a background,
maybe like a living room or a bedroom.
Nothing crazy ! you don't to use hella ref and all but a concrete setting for the character would make this piece even better.
but it's just my opinion
another thing, the heart pattern on the sweater seem to go down in a straight line
regardless of the position of her body and also where there are folds which is kinda weird
but of course it's your drawing
and those are suggestions that actually even if you don't take them I feel like it would still look good
I truly think that it's a really nice drawing, and also a really nice character I'm sure your friend did loved it

I like your style! It's simple but still leaves an impact and has a very natural flow to it.
One thing that stood out to me though was the colors, more specifically their tone. The bright, yet almost rusty, orange mixed with the dark purple made it difficult to look at very long. A soft gold would probably give you the same expression with a warmer feel. Also, all the negative space leaves an 'empty' feel to it. I can see that you where going for a simplistic style, and you can still have that result with a lightly colored background or boarder. Colors can be a hard thing to work with sometimes, just keep practicing and have fun!

I love the art style. It's got a nice feel and and flow and the linework is clean but sketchy enough that it fits the style. The use of color is good and her pose is perfect. If there were a few things that I would change, it would be the heart pattern on her clothes. The hearts seem to go down in a straight line regardless of the position of her body which isn't that bad but it kinda distracts you a bit once you notice it. Another thing would be a lack of background. I feel like the them of this picture would come off a lot more if there was a background. Nothing crazy, but a concrete setting for the character would make this piece cooler. The things I brought up are really only nitpicks so I would understand if you didn't want to change anything. Hope this helps.

thank you so much!! I noticed the clothes too- it bothered me a little bit as well so i'll try to keep that in mind. Backgrounds are also definitely something I need to incorporate more. Again, thank you!! <3
