Description Another attempt at being artsy with my apple tree style pendants and reflections The quality of the photo itself is no one's fault but my own, though I'd argue that proper fall apples make much better models than the Fuji. They're too soft and don't seem to polish up nicely. It's been so hot, I'm really hoping for a proper fall this year.

Maybe you could do carnelian for little oranges, if you wanted to try other fruits

Someone else mentioned that! I've not found nice round ones the right size, but they are on the shopping list I bring to shows

Huh, seems like they'd be more common. Out of curiosity, if you work with sterling filled wire, would you use dead soft or half hard on the trees themselves? I'm wrapping trees around stones and I want to start using higher quality wire, but I don't know which to order without having it in my hands and bending it to see if it's the right... bendiness. Lol.

I don't work with sterling filled, so I don't know what to tell you. I can tell you that when I use gold filled I use dead soft for the trees. (Joint problems.)

Dead soft just sounds so soft. Ah well, I'll have to go play with it at the bead store and decide for myself. I did find that brass is way too hard to work with on trees, it's such a fricken pain >.<

They mostly behave, the 'apples' just like to wander during wrapping on occasion

Sneaky apples. You can't trust them.

Yeah, real ones dent if they hit the floor and garnet has a way of sneaking off. Not sure which is worse
