Often kind to her peers, relatives and acquaintances, Audrey is the type of person to treat anyone with dignity and respect. She’d like to think there was some good and each person and strives to treat everyone equally, despite her being a noble. Her parents often disapprove of this behavior, saying it was a sign of being weak-willed, and too unnecessarily idealistic, and while at times she can be naive to a fault, the young maiden can’t find it in her heart to be as cold and calculating as her family wishes her to be.
As a noble’s daughter and soldier, she takes her responsibilities very seriously, always diving into tasks and business without delay. Her diligence can be commended, but at times, she doesn’t know when she has pushed her limits, even going as far as hiding the fact she’s stressed or tired. Some may assess it was her dedication, and while she can be loyal in the things she believe in, her drive to work can be linked to her lack of confidence on herself. Audrey is not one to speak out of line, or often speak her thoughts, always thinking she’s a plain jane and can be too obedient when not wanting to disappoint anyone. It is not because she comes from a wealthy family, but because she doesn’t trust herself-worth. Despite these high expectations placed on herself by her own person and her family, Audrey is very easy to please, often amused by the simplest of things.
Surprising to most, even though she gives off the air of grace and maturity, Audrey can be stubborn that sometimes it can be quite childish. This plus her impetuousness, which can slip out sometimes especially when put on the spot, can make her reckless at times. This is not usually a problem considering she can think on her feet, but she is still susceptible to losing her cool more often than not. For someone who wears her heart on her sleeve, it’s easy for Audrey to pick up emotional distraught from others or follow her instincts when making decisions. But again, this is generally frowned upon by her family, because of this her perception about some emotions are somewhat skewed.
History:
A Family’s Legacy
Audrey’s family came from an old bloodline of swordsmen way back in the olden days. Knights and Dames who protected the lords who reigned before. Eventually as centuries passed, their ancestors slowly rose in rank until they gained the title of Burgraf and Burgravin; they were noble and just people, hence how they gained the favor of those they served and saved. Through the course of a few more years, from a military role they shifted to political roles, which leads us to the current timeline.Cerulean and Yanus Lockwood, the current Burgravin and Burgraf respectively of the Ewyn-Lockwood household, were the parents of a young Audrey and her elder sister, Camelia. Despite not having a son, both parents educated the young girls to be not only properly ladies that would not bring shame to their family name, but also the art of swordsmanship. It was a strict life she led, from daily lessons, to training to etiquette classes. Through all these regiments, there was no time to be treated like a child, her parents were always business-like when interacting with her and her sister, but all this was to ensure the family name’s future. Eventually as they trained with swords both were enrolled in a Military academy and later joined the Army, in hopes, well their parent's hopes, that they join the Imperial Guard. She was but 21 when she left the academy. It was apparent that the family’s virtue had changed, because instead of honoring their ancestor’s morals, the current household was more interested in making sure they kept their title.
For sisterly love
Now, Camelia and Audrey were very close to one another. Even without feeling the warmth of her parent’s love, she hardly ever found reason to complain, not when she spent her time with her sister. When their schedules weren’t being drilled with lessons and social gatherings, they would often be in each other’s company, be it napping in the garden or reading in the library. They shared their dreams, hopes and fears with one another. To Audrey, all that exhaustion was bearable if her sister was there to guide her along the way.As they grew older, however, their time together became shorter and shorter. As the eldest, Camelia had the responsibility of being the next head of the family, her lessons were much stricter than that of her little sister, who never has to bear such a heavy weight. And she was talented indeed, meeting her parent’s high expectations with grace. It was because of this Audrey was often overshadowed, and along with this her parents didn’t expect much of her because they had Camelia. Not that the younger daughter was jealous, in fact she was very proud of her sister, and used her as a source of inspiration.
Among her responsibilities, Camelia was to be married to a suitable man, someone of equal rank, someone respectable and had power. Ever since birth, she and Audrey had, were already set with marriage partners. All that’s left was to be educated correctly until they were of age to be wed. This, however, was Camelia’s worst fear: to marry not for love, which may not have been too much of an issue if she had not fallen in love with someone else. But she did.
Audrey had always known her sister developed feelings for the librarian from the bookstore they frequented in town, and she had always dreamed for her happiness, but as Camelia’s wedding day was announced, she would never dream of what her sister decided to do. A month before her wedding, Audrey witnessed Camelia, the hope of their family, about to elope with the young librarian. It was heartbreaking and confusing, and it took everything in her not to panic or cry. She loved her sister dearly and wished for her to be happy, and if this was what it took, then so be it. She promised to the two that she would keep what they did a secret, playing the fool. Once she made that decision, she was certain she’d never meet Camelia ever again.
Turmoil in the family, The engagement
Because of Camelia’s sudden disappearance, the Lockwood family was in complete chaos as to how such a thing could happen. Rumors started floating about, from kidnapping to murder, but the one with that circulated the most was the hearsay that she and her lover were since heading for Bratkowice. Such scandalous news became a devastating blow to the household’s image; other nobles started gossiping behind their back. It was fortunate that both Yanus and Cerulean handled everything graciously and with a level head. Despite the loss they experienced, both moved on to the only solution at hand, mentor Audrey to be a well bred lady to become head of the family, and along that find her a new marriage partner, for her old one was deeply insulted at her sister’s actions, commenting that she too might turn to such a shameless act.It was not easy finding her another partner, but they eventually did; the second son of the Bartlett, Ivan Bartlett. They were interested in wedding their son to rise the social ladder, while Audrey’s parents wanted her to marry a respectable noble.
Ivan and Audrey’s first meeting did not go very well, ending with the younger girl being awkward for her blunders. From their few interactions though, Audrey can say she does not dislike Ivan, but it was sometimes difficult for her to have a grasp of his thinking. She realized he would was not such a bad fellow when, despite his cold exterior, he would unexpectedly give his advice and help when she was at loss.
Current
Having been recently offered a job as an Imperial Guard for his Majesty, Audrey was reluctant to take the offer for she had set her heart on staying as an Army Soldier instead, to help the her the country folk more intimately and to protect them, but her family had a tradition that if they were to take up military work, it would be as an Imperial Guard; no doubt her parents would demand her to take the job. It wasn't until she got some (unexpected) advice from Ivan did she highly considered declining to offer. On the first day of her job, she finally did and returned back home, where she explained to her parents of her desire to work as a soldier instead. Disapproving at first, they were only appeased when she stubbornly (albeit still nervous) she'd further her position for the family.
Since the attack of Reluir on the empire, Audrey has taken a more active role in the military- namely having to lead a platoon of her own. While still apprehensive of whether she is fit for leadership or not, she strives to lead her men with dignity- both to them and the people they meet on the battlefield.

Relationships
Family:
> Cerulean Ewyn-Lockwood ( Human || Sniper || 53 || Burgravin ) : An extremely stoic and non-sense woman, she was rarely there as a mother figure for her two daughters as she was more of the acting leader of their household than Yanus. She is harsh with her criticism and has no time for niceties.
> Yanus Lockwood ( Human || Sage || 61 || Burgraf ) : A sarcastic man at times, with an odd sense of humor, Yanus is not as cold as his wife, but ultimately much more manipulative. He carries a sort of charisma to him that makes it easy for him to worm his way into situations he wishes to be in. He usually deals business concerning outside of the family.
> Elisa Greham (Human || Champion || 47 ) : Audrey’s aunt and mentor in the arts of swordsmanship, she is whimsical and eccentric; a fresh of breath air for Audrey outside her rigid duties. After her sister left, the younger girl saw her as an emotional support, acting more like a mother figure in her life. She is very close to her.
> Camelia Ewyn-Lockwood ( Human || Paladin || 29 ) : Audrey’s best friend and the closest person to her. Despite betraying the family, she could not bring herself to hate the older girl. She has not seen her since she left with the librarian.
