Inks finally done. The arms took me SO long to gte right on this guy. Took me forever to come up with a design i liked enough to use. Ended up changing a lot of the stance just to accommodate something that would work.Lots of work has gone into this piece and im quite pleased with it. there's a lot more to the image than you can see. basically to get something I was happy with i worked from an armature up, so I drew a lot of the mechanics hidden behind the armour, and then worked over them once i had somethign feasible.
might be abole to put a small tutorial style piece together at some point to explain that better.
for now, enjoy
May end up coloured one day. for now i like the soft cell shading

cheers. there was a coloured version of the armour that i'd very nearly finished after ours and hours of work, which i lost when i fried my storage device :'(

No, with my style I work in photoshop and do all the colour work on a separate layer beneath the original linework. When i fried the drive i lost that linework too unfortunately

id like to see the tutorial so i could see the hidden bits
maybe an exploded drawing like a haynes manual for this beast
either way your 3d design ability is unrivalled, there are a lot of complex shapes and by choosing that viewpoint you've had to realise the same parts from different angles
doing this really shows off your talents
i just sit safely in 2D!!
