Sirius falls though the veil in the Department of Mysteries. I always loved that part, so I had to try and draw it.Sirius and everything else from the Harry Potter series is copyright JK Rowling.

I think if you have the time, go for it. I sometimes like to redo things that I've done.. it really shows improvement, because you can gauge how you've improved with the same subject matter. but not to say that this one is bad

Yeah, I guess you're right. Obviously, I don't have time. I never have time. Which is why I draw things anyway to put off important stuff like exams and work, that I don't want to do.
I think I will, then, but after my written exams. They are too big and too evil to ignore right now.
If you have any ideas for it, please share. I've read that scene so many times now, because it's my favourite, that I can't really remember what I originally imagined it looking like.

yep, I definitely know how you feel... always wanting to make art the most at the same time that the important work stuff is going on.
since you are asking for new ideas, perhaps you want to experiment with a radical perspective? make it seem like something out of a comic, with maybe a worm's eye view of Sirius toppling through the veil, and the supporting characters such as Harry and Bellatrix framed in the background? something dynamic... if that makes sense

hehehe. I'm sure you could find tons of examples by looking at comic pages and compile them for a really dynamic composition

Yeah, me too. Sirius was probably my favourite character 'til Deathly Hallows when I realized Dumbledore's awesomeness. Is he a cunning manipulator or benevolent crazy? Or a wise old man with an angsty past?

Tried to cut it out?
Photoshop sometimes scanns not that correctly but if you mark the picture without the edge... and open a new page with (oh god- how is it in english) "own size"?
I allway do that. My Photoshop does the same sh**

The problem is not that I cannot crop the image. It's the marking bit that's tricky. It just won't mark the picture without the edge. Either it includes the edge or it cuts off too much. Aaaaarh!

I must say, I wasn't very happy with the movie version of it, so I just sort of pictured it in my head. This is a very old pic, mind, so it's not a reaction to the strange movie version with Sirius almost dissolving. It's just my go at that scene. So I'm glad you like it.

Jeg fik i øvrigt et chok, da jeg havde tilmeldt mig : pludselig havde jeg fået 34 beskeder og kommentarer på mindre end et døgn. Wow! Det gør godt nok en forskel, når man kommer ind i klubber og communities osv. Pludselig er der mange flere, der ser ens tegninger. Most impressive!
