Description
For my good pal MARX77 in honor of his wonderful series of Urban Cats. This one found in Skid Row in downtown Los Angeles taped to the boarded-up door of a former firehouse. It was almost dark when I took the picture and a gentlemen resident of the streets suggested it was not a place I should be. But we ended up having a great conversation and I told him this image would go to Dubai to meet the cats that live there.This installation of street art has become quite special to me. Made from the trash on the street, representing a cat that's been trashed by a life on the streets and then the art gets trashed with tags and finally the art seemingly trashes the trash.

The cat does seem to cat to be kicking back that at the trash, a interesting view on life after been beaten down.

Its so amazing to be in a slum and come across something this well done as art. Art is not about money. And Graffiti in particular isn't.
