I love Khezu. Don't you? I mean, who could resist that adorable leech/maggot-like visage covered with hide that "pleases" people (look at the equipment description rofl). It was a betch in HR5 though, damn....I still need Pale extracts. QAQ

Heres my story in MH. I have a pair of Giaprey Claws+. I had been trying to upgrade them into Velociprey Claws, but the only ingredient I need to have to make them is 2 Pale Extracts. After looking into it, I found out that Pale Extacts coe from Khezus, so I tried killing one with my Giaprey Claws+, and failed. So I bought an Iron Katana to kill the Khezu, to upgrade my claws. I tried and failed again. So I sold the Katana to buy a better blade. I tried and failed..again. Im a bad hunter. PS: Someone better respond to this, it took a long ass time to type this!

To kill a khezu, you need patience, you cant blindly attack the thing, you'll only get shocked and would most proly die. I suggest using longsword, and aim for its head when it shoots lightning balls, and try to get in a few slashes every now and then, but try not to get carried away as it's wreckless to do so.
Remember that it's better to take your time, rather than rush in and fail the mission. Just take it easy and learn your foe's moves.

What items would you most likely use for a Khezu?

items or weapons? I usually use longsword, but you can make due with anything you're comfy with. Just stay on your toes and not get hit by its lightning balls and lightning shield. >.<

Items. I know traps work on virtually any monster but what else? Flash bombs wouldnt work cause it doesnt have eyes and Im afraid to use a sonic bomb cause I dont think it can hear either. Would tainted/poison/drugged meat work?

Baiting monsters isnt effective, unless it's a congalala, which eats anything put in front of it. You're better off beating it up, rather than waiting for it to eat the meat. >_>; and yeah, save your sonic bombs, it dun work on khezu. x:
And be careful, some monsters are immune to some traps. You'll find out later one. C: khezu can be shocktrapped though, dun worry.
