I think that you should call Goku's gender swapped counterpart, Kakara. Because Goku is a girl and Kakara is a gender swapped name of Kakarot.

As we enter the Frieza saga, this is where the story doesn't really tend to deviate from the original. With Goku resting at the hospital due to being way more injured that the others, she doesn't go with her husband and son to Namek right away. They take off to arrive on Namek and soon face the threats of Frieza's forces. Gohan is the one to really take charge as he saves the young Dende from the hands of Dudoria.
