I never really think about it very much, but Lisa is probably one of my very favorite cartoon characters. Of course I love all the Simpsons characters, they often go into surprisingly deep emotive territory, something most of the other animated sitcoms seem to miss the mark on.Lisa is feeling moody here over something, while Marge is just having a ball with her mop and bucket, perhaps tipsy on wine.

I really like this, it kind of seems like Lisa is looking for something more than the life of a stereotypical house wife (displayed by Marge). I absolutely love your coloring and style!!!

I really think that's the struggle a lot of children have. Many of them show promise for great and exciting things, yet so few ever leave the doldrum and safety of their hometowns. At least not for long. I'm glad you like this piece, I like your assessment of its theme.

when i saw it in the thumbnail the first thing that sprung to mind was a target ad with the red circles in the background
but this is awesome looking, really gives the characters so much feeling and personality!

Brilliant! Who would have ever thought one could be realistic and still draw the Simpsons AS the Simpsons?
This reminds me of the episode "Separate Vocations" where the Career Aptitude Normalizing Test (CANT) tells Lisa she's destined to be a homemaker and she turns her back on everything she ever believed in.
In the same episode Bart wreaks his havoc on the side of law and order for a change. I always did think good and evil were opposite sides of the same coin and this episode is a study in that.

I always pictured both Lisa and Bart as a little more on the pudgy side -- but this is still an awesome picture. I love how you took the Simpson's and managed to make it your own without taking anything away from the characters.

I love it! Especially Lisa. She looks like she's still the girl who Aces's her exams but cant seem to get that popularity she's always wanted. And marge lol, I wish I mum like her.
