Description Yup, another pun name.

When my roommate asked me why I keep drawing Starfire, I had to think a moment. I finally decided that it was because I was never really satisfied with the last two drawings I made of her. Hopefully I've got it right this time and I can stop.

Also I was experimenting with a different coloring technique, since I was getting tired of the smooth airbrushy stuff I've been doing so much lately.

This is great. I like how you used the cartoon version but didn't make her happy-go-lucky.The coloring is sweet-tastic. I like it.

I've decided that my favorites will be comprised of nothing more than Nightwing and Starfire pics (as they belong together) and I've yet to find a Starfire pic that's as vibrant or exciting as this one here.

If you could draw a nightwing companion piece...

I like the shiny reflectiveness of her, and the hair is really cool. The figure look kind of Aeon Flux-ish to me, which is not a problem. Very cool.

This was a rare figure drawing where I wasn't trying too hard to make her pretty, just get the anatomy looking believable, so it's a little harder edged than my female figures normally are. The face is a little more realistic too, but I like the overall look of it.

Its been a while since I've seen something you've done that wasn't smooth-shaded ... very nice ... also, excellent pun.

I was keeping a fantasy painting by Roy Krenkel in front of me because I liked the sharp pastel palette he was using. I think some of that came off in this pic. Thanks for the comps. I'm definitely going to do more of this cel-shading type coloring, it's been too long since I've really played around with it.
