Desert Wyrms are one of the great serpents that dwelled in the Gigantis desert. They are more deadlier than the Sand Hogs, being able to eat anything in its path no matter the size, while Sand Hogs don’t bother with small creatures. They have a false head at the end of their tails that they stick out while burrowed in a sand dune, they use it to trick prey to think it’s the real thing only to move into the direction of the real head where they’ll be snatched up.
Their backs are armoured however it’s kinda useless against a Sand Hog, their common predator which often attack from the side or under where they’re most vulnerable. It was probably more effective against another big predator that likely went extinct, before Sand Hogs were introduced to take their place.
