Description

Here we go, with another great commission from MariaAart ! This one is a birthday present from her to me, and I couldn't be happier! ^_^ Here's the idea for it!

The Other Side of the Nekoken (Catwoman/Ranma 1/2)

Ranma died, but never knew it. Alone, in the dark, bleeding from wounds all over his body, calling for help from his father that never came. Ranma died when his father forced him into a pit of starving cats for the third time.

However, he didn't stay dead. One of the cats in the pit was special and knew what Ranma would become. It gave him a gift normally only given to women, knowing that one day, that wouldn't be an issue. But Ranma was male at the time, and the gift was never meant to be handled by men. Those that tried to claim it gained but a twisted reflection, that had come to be known as the Nekoken. Ranma was given another chance at life, but was left with a terrible fear of cats that prevented him from gaining the gift that was intended, even after getting cursed.

And so, Ranma's life continued, blissfully unaware of the truth. He fought enemies, gained fiancees, and made rivals, even saved the world from a power hungry Phoenix. Ranma had grown powerful, but his enemies were powerful, too, and some of his victories had been mainly due to luck. Most of those enemies had sworn to get revenge for their defeats, and eventually, one succeeded. Attacked in the rain, and caught off guard, Ranma died once more. And this time, he stayed dead.

However, SHE did not. With Ranma's death, the magic of the Jusenkyo curse failed, but the rain beforehand had left her in cursed form. As a female, the gift Ranma was given could manifest in its intended form, while simultaneously purging her fear of cats. Ranma may have died twice, but cats have nine lives.

Awakening in an ally, bombarded by her now enhanced senses, and fighting to remember what happened, Ranma can only remember three clues as to her killer's identity: she knew the voice from somewhere, they were male, and they claimed to want revenge, implying that Ranma had defeated them at some point.

Determined to confront her killer, Ranma begins her search, all the while trying to come to terms with her new, catlike powers, and with being trapped in female form, for good.

AN:Β And there we go! I realize a lot of people disliked the Catwoman movie, due to the fact that it was not actually the same the same character as from the DC comics, but I wasn't very familiar with said comics when I first saw the movie, so I was able to enjoy it on its own merits, and it has remained one of my favorite 'superhero' movies. Hope you all liked the idea!

What do you think?

Lol, the funny part is, you say this, just as another person added this to their favorites.

And nowhere in the description did it say that Ranma would be paired with a guy, in this one. The pairing would be independent of the main plot, and thus able to be directed as the author saw fit.

That's definitely harassment.

Well, they did say they wanted 'revenge', which means it is not a new enemy, but rather an old one that had just upped their own training.

As I have said previously, I can't say that I share your particular tastes, but I can't say that I find any major flaws beyond personal preference, either.

The love of money is central to Nabiki's character, making such a pair done that way to be perfectly believable. Of course, that doesn't mean that one couldn't pair her with someone else, given the proper character development.

There is absolutely nothing in the anime or manga to support any of the Kunos being anything but delusional idiots. Anything more is pure headcanon.

Thanks, but all credit there goes to MariaAart . She drew it as a gift for me, I just came up the story idea behind it.
