Description This is my first polymer clay sculpture that was sold on eBay a few months ago. It was actually made around a blown out chicken egg and painted with acrylic paint.

Do you use a particular tool to make the bumpy texture?

You're going to laugh but I took apart a ball point pen and used the different pieces to create his bumpy skin. (along with little balls of clay that I placed here and there.

Wow that's a great idea to use pen parts! He's really cute. I've always wanted to work around a shell but I know I'd just break it

Thank you! I also use a can of spray paint, on it's side, to roll out my clay! LOL

I never laugh at the tools people use to make art. You use what you've got. I myself use cut-up cardboard boxes as my collage canvases.
