Description One of my favorite images. Took an incredibly long time to get it to where I want it. How Long? Over four years of abandoning it repeatedly and coming back to it later when I learned more.
Keanna waiting for her husband Captain Garett's return aboard the Lazy Dream.
Scene from my unpublished book.

Extraordinary! Β None of background architecture (except the two Greek temples) look like anything I ever seen rendered before. Β It is an inspired piece of work.

For me this is reminiscent of Tristan and Iseult (but neither in a negative nor derivative way).

Most of the models in this are freebies from various sources, some have been retextured. The dock area is all boolean primitives as is the balcony where she's standing. The temple to the left and visible again in the distance is the only building I paid for. (Renderosity, Daz3D, and more)
Thanks for the comment!

It was with this image I first met Cray. It still feels unfinished to me, and one day when my skill improves, I'm going to revisit this.

I miss the cliffs of Sorrento. One of my favorite places in Italy (along with Pompei)
Thanks for the kind words!
Maybe one day I'll get a 100 faves!

waw, it was a lucky guess about the cliffs of sorrento and I was right!
Then it was indeed a great compliment I gave you because you captured really the right admosphere of that magnificent place.
I am an absolute lover of that corner of the world, sorrento, pompei, stabiae, oplontis, herculaneum... A dream, this region...
I have visited it quite a lot.
I also read all the books that play in that region.
I hope you'll get your 100 faves soon, I hope the same for myself
Greetings, till later.

Thanks! I based my fictional city of Abora on the small towns and villages of that region (Capri comes to mind), just relocated to the tropics. I really enjoyed that region of Italy. Rome was neat, but it was too crowded and people weren't very polite. Florence and Pisa were the tourist havens, but we had the most fun in Naples and the surrounding area.
All my art is based on the series of books I've written, so it is indeed a great compliment to have others recognize that area as well.

Not to sound pushy, but if you are interested you can find the first chapter here (in PDF format) [link] it does contain adult themes though.

Oh, but I am very very interested and I don't mind adult content, I am no prude and I am old enough. lol
This is truly great! I like this new friendship, one with whom I share a common interest.
I am quite a connaisseur of Italia, I go there every year, I am crazy about roman antiquity, I read everything I can find.
So you are not pushy at all.
Thanks for the fav and the watch, I am sure we will talk lots and lots in the future. Happy to know you.
Yes I know capri, love it, and the vicinity of Napels too, went to visit it in detail, the area in puzzoli etc...

They say that if you visit the Trevi Fountain once, you will see it again. Maybe I will again. I've been to Naples many times (Trieste too) but also had a lot of fun in Rhodes Greece.
Pleasure to meet you.
I must warn you that the first chapter of the book posted here is the final revision of another book that I tried to get published. Since it is the only part I revised, if you want to read more, I would be happy to send it (unrevised version) but although the plot line remains the same, there would be some differences. I am happy with the rewrite I posted here, and hope to have the final revision of the entire book done this year.

I barely have time for the stuff I do now. It would really depend on what you are looking for. If it doesn't involve creating things from scratch (i.e. time consuming), I may be interested.
