This picture was inspired by 1) the Princess Tutu guide book covers and 2) by Tomoyo Ichijouji's fanfic, Princess Tutu: Chapter of the Bird which you can find at: [link]I was trying to go for the watercolor pencil look the covers had so I used watercolor pencils myself. The cathedral forming the frame is based on an actual German gothic cathedral while the rose window is taken from another source. The wings on either side hint at the true identities of the two OCs from the fanfic.

The scan did not do the picture justice because it sort of faded out the colors. Still, I spent a lot of time on this picture and I really like the end result.

Your design of the characters, however, is absolutely stunning. I love the stain glass windows in the bg, they make the pic so elegant. Sorry about your scanner, it does affect the colors a bit. Like I always imagined Caras to be a little darker, more raven colored hair, like Rue's, instead of purple. But I could have read it wrong XD This art, is a perfect representation of that story >w<
