welcome dude. hey i got a question, do you paint with grey values and then change the color later on ? im trying to figure out how that is done.

Im very happy to see at last some question of you cause honestly is my pleasure to help you George.Yes,actually im painting mostly on gray scale and values cause it helps me interact better with the contradictions of the elements in each work.When this is done I flatten my image and i change the mode from grayscale >RGB color,then I add some overlay layer on top of the grayscale flattened image and i paint with overlay adjusted brushes on that.I dont fully color all my elements but actually paint only some basic colors to give me a whole idea and a feeling of the final result.Then when this is done,I start creating on top colorbalance layers and color fill layers,i play with the color values and i just start erasing areas of each layers that i dont need...when Im satisfied with all that I usually add some more color mixer or selective color layers so I can specifically choose and correct some of the colors that dont work for me,and usually are the neutral and dark tones and colors,so I correct those with that layer's attribute.Also,if all those are done,you can also add on top a normal mode layer and paint with normal brush some highlights in the areas you wish for.
