Suggested by .Dib is inexplicably in the rollercoaster from the intro, and Beetlejuice isn't too happy about it.
Dib looks a little off, though I can't tell exactly why.
But Lydia and Beetlejuice look good considering it's my first time drawing them.I hadn't watched this show (Beetlejuice, I mean) in several years, and it's pretty creepy. I mean, they act like a couple, but Lydia is only thirteen and Beetlejuice is a centuries-old poltergeist. It's amazing what the censors let the writers get away with. Not that I'm particularly fond of network censors. I think it's the parents' job to monitor what their kids watch instead of letting the teevee babysit them.

I know, at first the couple confussed me to too, but their is always a reason. Beetlejuice can never age, (since he's dead), so Lydia would just get older, plus, it's a cartoon. Just enjoy it!

Haha very cute. Yes I agree they did get away with a lot. I have 3 episodes on my Beetlejuice movie dvd and in one Beetlejuice has a piece of paper that reads,"I am a.."with a picture of a donkey at the end. And he can't figure out what its supposed to mean. Lydia replies with a,"No comment." and smiles.

I'm glad you like it, but Beetlejuice isn't one of my pet fandoms by any stretch. I actually had some IZ/Wizard of Oz drawings planned.

When I saw the thumbnail I thought Lydia and Dib were in bed together and he was grinning hugely while she was all yay! Meanwhile BJ watched on jealously. That would have been funny, come to think of it.

I think Dib might seem off because, unfortunately, one rarely sees him smile that wide on the show.
And this looks really good! Hmm, I wonder if I could find a way to rewatch Beetlejuice, it's been years for me too...did they really act like a couple? Little-me never noticed that (though of course in the movie, Beetlejuice was a villain trying to force Lydia to marry him, so...)
Anyway, the picture looks great, especially if you've never drawn them before!

I think you might be right about the smile. Man that is sad.
There are a lot of episodes of Beetlejuice on youtube. And little-me didn't notice the romantic subtext either, but it's definitely there. In the first episode they celebrate their anniversary.
