Nice drawing. Honestly I prefer the book over the musical, I don't like the musical, I hust like three songs.
I think the muscial is a terryfic adaptation from the original story, the make Eponine like a great heroine.
Marius and Eponine never were good friends, actually Marius never likes Eponine at all.
Cosette is more important in the book, the second angel in Valjean's life, when I read the book I can feel
the father's love.
About Eponine, I don't like her, I fell bad about her tragic story but I don't like her.
The first version that I watch is "Les Miserables: Shoujo Cosette".

Team Eponine! Nice picture. I especially like that it's at night because that's Eponine's favorite time, as we all know.

most people do.
actually i've found that people who prefer the music prefer eponine and people who prefer the book prefer cosette. i've read the book as well as seen the musical, and i love eponine in the musical, but not so much in the book. weird.

That's because both Eponine and Cosette are watered down in the musical. Cosette is a very interesting character in the book, but in the musical, she is defined as the rich girl who gets the guy. Eponine in the book is a mentally unstable creep infatuated with Marius, and in the musical she becomes a very relateable chaaracter, but defined only by her unrequited love for Marius.

it's been a while since i've read the book, but i've noticed in the musical, both the girls are really just props. Which is kind of sad.

I think the whole love triangle (I hesitate to call it a love triangle, because that implies some sort of confusion and all three know exactly who they love)is social commentary about how a street tramp can never raise herself up to the level of a baron, no matter how hard she tries. The baron will fall in love with someone his own rank. Now, Cosette isn't really Marius's rank, being an illegitimate daughter of a grisette, but he doesn't find this out until a long time after that.

I totally agree. Lets face it, Eponine was always there and was willing to die for the revolution (which she did *sob*), but Marius only met Cosette once and she just sat at home. Okay, anti-cosette rant over.
And its awsome!

It wouldn't work for me. I don't know. I like tragic things, I guess. Or something like that.

i think we all do. fans of eponine say she should have ended up with marius, but if she had, it wouldnt be the tragic story it is (except maybe for cosette haha)
so i always say eponine and marius should have ended up together, and i love drawing art for it, but yeah it works the way it is.

hmm yeah she is a bit of a stalker. i just don't like Cosette
its interesting though, because ppl who read the book usually vote for cosette, and the people who see the musical vote for eponine.

I love the musical, but I got so tried of hearing about poor, perfectly pure and innocent little Cosette.
