I'd imagine somewhere in the annals of the ship's service there is a story of how during one particularly lengthy layover in drydock, a few mischievously motivated Ensigns performed an EVA in order to remove the 'H' and turn the 'E' into an 'F' on the ship's name, much to the Captain's acute chagrin.
