Newcomer No. 3 of 4 is finally finished!With momentarly no true enemy I present you:
Lightning
It was fun to draw her, because this was with all the others the first time! What took me so long? Well the inking was harder then I expected - I bought new pens which aren't so wonderful as the others I used ... well and I needed time to get used to them.
It could be that her weapon is too long, there are also many color-variations in her blade and her costume doesn't fit the 1-to-1 Original Lightning, the haircolor is more intensive then the real Version of her, but I don't care.
I like it how it came out!
Work progress:
Sketch: 4 hours
Ink: 3 hours
Colors: 6 hours
13 hours totally xD
Before Dissidia was released, Square Enix thought about including Lightning also as a Secret Character but left her out of the complete Version, because they didn't want to "spoil" or "form" her Abilities, Actions and so on before the real game Final Fantasy XIII was released.
The International Version of Dissidia contains new things and I hope for an "International Final Mix" Version, extra for Japan, of Dissidia which could include her.

Originally I've found out that she was planned for the first game, as well as Kain but were left out from the Original Product.
Also it was planned to put Laguna into Birth by Sleep, but they left him out, because then they wanted to cancel him from Dissidia!

Square Enix just revealed in the latest issue of Shonen Jump (via Siliconera) that a sequel to Dissidia: Final Fantasy will arrive on Japanese PSPs sometime in 2011. Titled "Dissidia Duodecim: Final Fantasy," the new fighter was created specifically as a challenge to website copy editors.
Outside of FFIV's Kain and FFXIII's Lightning, no other playable characters have been confirmed. We get the feeling you'll see an expanded roster of fan-favorite brawlers at next week's Tokyo Game Show.

Well I know this thing about the next Dissidia game and I am really looking forward to it!
This one was made last year for the GamesCom in Germany, I made these four Dissidia Picutres as a gift for Square Enix.

Lightning's finally going to be in a sequel called Dissidia Duodecim: Final Fantasy so will finally see the epic battle between Cloud and Lightning! Kain Highwind from FFIV will be in as well but who will represent XII? I hope for Ashe over Vaan. Maybe they'll include more than just protagonists and antagonists suck as Tifa from VII, Yuna from X-2 and even Sazh from XIII, they might as well since Lightning's now in it! X3

Because this was meant to be one protagonist for FFXIII, and at that time I didn't knew the antagonist of the game.

Sure she has an EX-Mode but when I created this picture, the game was still in Production and so I didn't knew which weapon she would have in the end.
Well now I know them, her last Weapon and her EX-Burst would be with Odin. Somehow I thought this would be awesome!

she would have been awsome in the 1st dissidia.......... but don't lose hope, the head of square enix might consider making a second dissidia if enough people ask 4 it, she may be in that one!!!

Square Enix said that the'll think about a second Dissidia when the game comes out in the West, but sadly the selling units weren't so high...

Ya know, Lightning was supposed to be in Dissidia, but Nomura said to take her out because then that would have given away her fighting style and the story of Final fantasy 13

I don't start to think about possible Enemies of a game still not released! Maybe when the game comes out, then I can make one... maybe.
She was defentily no fun to draw, I had many issues with her, which was my problem why it was so late released after all, but I am happy how she came out in the end!
