emilie autumn created a song and album titled "opheliac" (she warped the definition to define a lover of death) and did a whole show centered around it. it was a truly beautiful and elegantly dark show, and i think certain elements of the photo--like the corset, simple-but-dramatic makeup, the intensity of it all--reminded others of it (which i don't think should be taken as an offense, just a misinterpretation).
anywho, i think it's a gorgeous photo, shakespeare or otherwise; a true beauty!
