I always assumed the best way to not lose my friends was to make farty noises in the cafeteria.
Some people just aren't meant to have friends.

Well, I do sorta have one friend, a brother in weirdness, but he's an internet friend and
I've never actually seen him IRL. There's also the little girl next door who really likes me and
REALLY likes talking to me about sandles, although that one is a bit of a one-sided friendship
since I don't really like sandles that much that much anyway.
After watching Wander Over Yonder for the first time, I really wanted a zbornak friend.
Disappointed that they don't actually exist, I tried painting the local farmer's horse blue
and teaching it to talk. The only word it knew was a sort of shrill, high-pitched baying
noise. While it would have worked well for a situation similar to this comic, it felt a bit out
of place in day to day conversation.
"So, what's your favorite color?"
"Brr-RREEEEEE-HEEEE-EEEE-EEEEE!"
"Mine is yellow."
Eventually the farmer came out holding a shotgun and asked
me what I was doing. We had a conversation.
"A yokel like you would never understand what I'm doing!"
"Tell me wat you's doin' fore I pump ye full-a lead, boy."
"Raising a Zbornak."
" 'Du Hell is a 'Zbornak'?"
"My point exactly."
By this point I realized that neither Daisy nor the farmer was going to be
a very good friend. The farmer told me I was a weirdo, and after a long period
of contemplation I decided he was probably right. A few years back my parents
decided to stop homeschooling me for a year and sent me to a proper school hoping
I'd make friends. Nobody there would hug me, so I decided that they probably
hated me.
I was getting quite depressed by this point, and was considering jumping into
a volcano. I reconsidered when I was informed that volcanos are very hot, and not at
all a good place to go looking for friends. After seeing this picture, I regreted it as
that might have been where I'd meet Sylvia and begin my psychedelic cosmic
adventure, but then again I don't really like taking hot baths, and was even less
comfortable with the idea of taking a hot bath with a girl who was wearing no pants.
Later I learned that most people do not bathe with their pants on anyway. That
may be why my legs never seemed to get cleaned properly.
I decided I'd give it a shot. We had a conversation and she seemed like the
best friend anyone could ever have. "I'd take a bullet for Wander", she even
said. I handed her a bullet which she then gave to Wander, who proceeded to
put it into a shotgun and shot me in the face, blowing me out of the galaxy.
Sylvia was shocked at this.
"Wander, how could you do that?!"
"Hmm...hmhm....hehehe....HAHAHAHA!!! Did you really think I was
really Wander?! HAH!!"
With that he tore off his fuzzy orange mask.
It was the farmer.
