What boards do you use? I am having a hard time finding one that doesn't bleed when using brush.

This is just DC board, the regular board they send out. Most heavier Bristol boards should take both brush and nib fine, though paper quality, just like brush and nib and ink quality, continues to go down...

Cool, thanks for the info. I use series 500 strathmore plate finish, but every now and then I will get a page that bleeds. I'll look at some new inks.

With all things- paper, inks, brush, nibs- you will run into crappy materials. I order all my stuff through the Joe Kubert Art Store, and they'll take the time to try and test everything before they ship it, to make sure it's decent. Saves me a lot of headaches!

Mix my ink, so it's a bunch of different inks. Universal, Speedball, and Pelikan, I think...
