Here are a few WOW comic pages I just wrapped up for WildStorm. Unfortunately, the paper wasn't the best (I was working off of bluelines), so there's a lot more marker being used than I'd like. But Mike's pencils are great, so it ended up being a lot of fine, even with the insane deadline.

Hey Mark, thanks for the awesome ink job!..the deadlines were insane on this due to having to go back to issue 12 half way through issue 13 and do some fill in pages! Everyone worked their socks off at the end of this issue. I felt really rushed on this page but you did a great job with the inks to save it!
Just to comment on the Joe Mad thing - Mark hit the nail on the head, I will develop out of that style the same way Hitch did from Davis or Terry Dodson from Adam Hughes...I want to keep the Mad! flavour as it feels right for me but start tweaking it to create something new.
This was my first pro work! I'm working hard to get better. Overall I'm fairly happy with issue 13, it will get better from here on though! Thanks guys!

Hmm... Your inks are awesome as always, Mark. But there is something about Mr. Bowden's art that rubs me the wrong way.

Yeah, I was indicate his Joe Mad influence.
I love Joe Mad too, and I incorporate a lot of his stylings into my work (if you see how I draw hands, it's pretty obvious). But I think Mike's approach is a little too obvious. Maybe that's it.
Still, there's always ways to improve and insist upon something new.

Well, there's a lot of Joe Mad clones out there, and Mike's one of the better ones. And I'm sure his own style will develop out of it, like Bryan Hitch did out of his earlier years as an Alan Davis clone. We all learn from others!

I'm curious now lol. I want to know what's going on. Awesome inks! I think you did just fine with both pages I've seen so far. They're definately not thinking the dragon is awesome like I do....
