Tutankhamun was built to be a fortress unassailable. Like the high cities of old, it is to be a bastion of civilization amid unrelenting wilderness and the dangerous unknown. For half a million souls within, it is the sole refuge far beyond the Marred Frontier.
Clad in pristine armor, shining arms, and battlements, the Mothership is a monument to protection through strength, a demonstration of Terran Power and ready to strike down any who would are to test the strength of these defenses. In battle, walls of fire and light surround the besieged vessel, and armies of machine and flesh are raised to charge out of the gates and break the assault. But for most of the journey, the towers spot nothing in the endless dark and those arms are silent sentinels. At those times, they are reassurance of protection and a reminder of the dangers lurking in the void. Conquest and war are not the Tutankhamun's mission – but in a galaxy ruled by extraterrestrial tyrannies, those specters of the Confluence Invasion are never far away.
