Description
When all other nations fell, the free peoples of Eurasia stood strong together. Their bond would remain forever unbroken, as last defenders of lost Earth, and first liberators of renewed Terra.
While the founding myth of the Last Commonwealth omits much of the hardship and strife, the defeats and humiliations of the Long War, there is still some truth to the legend. Eurasia's vast empty steppes truly harbored some of the staunchest Terran resistance. The memory of that Long War and the traditions of the partisans still shape the society that was born from them.
Under the hegemony of the reformed Tsardom of Rus, the nations of the Commonwealth were among the first to rebuild, reclaiming their idealized vision of past greatness. That vision is expressed in the grand cities they rebuilt, and the treasures of human achievement displayed in monuments throughout Eurasia.
Life in the Commonwealth is structured in service to the greater whole, in the military and the state. Humanity, and its destiny without interference from powers beyond Sol, are valued most of all.
For this destiny to be secured, the nations of the Commonwealth seek to secure their place in the greater universe, to turn every colony, outpost, and frontier into a bastion of humanity, exploited to the fullest extent for the benefit of Terra.
This power abhors reckless expansionism and the meddling in technologies and affairs of extraterrestrials. Its priority is the protection of humankind, even from itself if that should be necessary.
