Really nice. Is the figure based on a drawing? I have a feeling i have seen an anatomy image or something that is similar to this. Also, what is the background from? Or is it your own creation?

You're correct. The main figure was drawn after an anatomical engraving. The background is an edited engraving by Gustave DorΓ©.

the thing that i like the most is the way the figure comes out from the picture but never comes to light, it goes from black to dark grey but stays in the dark. you did one damn good job.

What I really like is how effective the logo and text looks in gold, as opposed to a more traditional white say.

I first tried it with slightly dark red, which looked very powerful and dark, but it was done so often already by Black/Death Metal bands. So I chose a brown color, which so far everyone calls "gold" or "dirty gold", so even linguistically it works better than imagined.
