Yes. Downunda was once Australia- heck, even the name came from a popular nickname for the continent/country when it was under its previous identity.

I remember buying a copy of a Sonic issue because she was on the cover and looked so cool once. This was waaaay after I had stopped reading the series. I was surprised at how much it had changed!

Yeah and her current style took away a lot of her coolness. She just looks like a cue ball with ears.
