I really liked the picture of some pomegranates I used for this painting, especially the highlights and casting shadows on the pomegranates. I used Vermilion Hue and French Ultramarine on the background and they created a nice mood, I think.I painted this in March, 2008

I could hang this in a room, every surface upholstered in neutral grey watered silk; a single wooden chair positioned in front of the gallery-lit work, and every moment I could spare to simply sit and see would be limitless joy.

Beautiful hues. Wish pomegranates weren't so hard to eat, though! :-D All those little seeds . . . Even eating artichokes aren't as much work!

Wow! I love this! I really like the colors and how the blue and the red work together to create a beautiful pomegranate. It's also blowing my mind about how you used the same (almost) color for the pomegranate and the background, but the fruit still pops out of the picture! Amazing! Very nice job!

I love color.... deep rich basic hues like blue, red, green, gold in earthy tones... I think red is my fav, though.
